T.E.A.R Steps Up to Help Mr. Crawford Get Home After He Fell on Ice
Mr. Crawford fell on ice at a truck stop which hurt his shoulder badly and he could not get home. He had just leased his truck and he was unable to drive it. The company did not assist him in getting home. His Wife contacted us for help and though medical issues are normally outside of our ability to assist, we were able to help the Crawfords because he was stranded in this situation. Your generous donations allow us to help families like the Crawfords.
T.E.A.R. Steps Up to Help a Stranded Truck Driver Get Home
Ed was working for a company out of Bolingbrook, Illinois he knew to be called Amerifreightways.
September 2021, he contacted Truckers Emergency Assistance Responders as he was taking a load back to their yard in Bolingbrook IL asking for help.
He said the company was firing him and withholding his paycheck. He would have no way to get home. The company told him that there was a claim filed on one of his loads and that he had to pay 100% of the claim. He needed a bus ticket back to his girlfriend.
We were able to help him with the balance of ticket money he needed and food to get home.

T.E.A.R. is a much-needed resource for truck drivers who become abandoned by their carrier or employer. If it can happen to me, it can happen to anybody.
